About Vicki |
Vicki Barkley lives and works in Los Angeles, California. She received a BFA from Middle Tennessee State University in 1985, and has been in California since 1986. Her work creates and reveals multiple realities: mundane becomes sacred, holy becomes routine, spirituality is human creation. The relationships she depicts between people reflect the structure of the cosmos. For twenty years, she has been producing work related to these issues. She has taught art in the public schools since 1990, and is commited to making beauty in the world, and causing other people to do the same. She has a partner, three children, and two grandchildren.
